Rodney Murray, the head of academic technology at the University of the Sciences in Pennsylvania, has been running Rod’s Pulse Podcast since 2006. This podcast (120 episodes and counting) explores e-learning trends, interviews educators and instructional designers, and looks at how to “flip” the classroom. Although the material covered is primarily academic-focused, Murray’s in-depth knowledge makes much of his advice broadly applicable and helpful.
This podcast was created in 2013 by Connie Malamed from the e-Learning Coach blog. Focusing on cutting-edge e-learning—designing learning games, Tin Can API, infographic creation—Malamed covers many the most up-to-the-minute topics in the industry. She also interviews lots of interesting minds, including authors, innovators, inventors, and executives. While content is primarily targeted toward a more corporate audience, it will be helpful to all e-educators
The now-defunct e-Learning Stuff podcast still features relevant information on a variety of topics. There are more than 90 episodes still available covering a wide range of subjects facilitated by multiple hosts. The flagship host was James Clay, head of ILT and Learning Resources for City of Oxford College, Banbury & Bicester College, and Reading College. Clay and the UK-based team explored social learning, e-books and their place in education, e-learning on mobile devices and, more. They also covered e-learning/learning technology conferences like Learning Without Frontiers.
Hosted by Alison Bickford of Connect Thinking, this podcast takes things a step further by offering supplemental (optional) video as well. Running since 2010, Bickford focuses on corporate learning covering topics such as integrating an LMS, creating great video courses, learning trends, and then some. The show covers a lot of ground in the e-learning arena and is worth a listen.
Hosted by professors of instructional design Abbie Brown and Tim Green, this bi-monthly podcast covers news, trends, and advancements in e-learning .
