KZO pioneered collaboration and multi-threaded conversations about specific moments in time and x/y screen coordinates in video.
Precise Context
KZO’s Collaborate enables users to associate questions, answers, comments and additional information with precise moments in time on a video, related materials or Flash animations that are synchronized to it. Others users are able to respond, or build on the comments by adding searchable threaded discussions or micro-blogs.
Spatial-Temporal
In addition to time, or temporal, based discussions, users are also able to designate a specific region of the video screen or related materials to comment or collaborate on. By associating comments with specific regions, also referred to as x/y coordinates or spatial references, users can iterate around both time and space dimensions of the video.
Rich Media
Discussions using KZO Collaborate capability can include many types and formats of additional rich media information. For example, beyond text, discussions can include additional video and audio, links to internal or external locations, and additional supporting information.
Continued Engagement
Email notifications and RSS alerts notify users when a discussion they have participated in is expanded, as well as when content is added to one of their specified communities of interest.
