- Sound/Audio is one of the most important parts of video. People will watch a webcam-quality video with good audio, but will instantly turn off a video that has bad or hard to hear audio. Always use external mics and avoid shotgun or built-in mics when possible. If more than one person is speaking, both users should have their own mics, and their levels should be tested so neither speaker causes a spike in the audio.
